Israel Aircraft Industries originally introduced the Astra SP in the late 1980's before it was renamed to the Gulfstream G100 in 2001. The Astra SP is recognizable by its low/swept wing, twin rear fuselage mounted engines, and abnormally sharp looking nose. It has a swept tailfin and low mounted horizontal stabilizer. Each side of the fuselage has 6 square looking passenger windows. The Astra carries up to 9 passengers and is piloted by a 2 man crew. The Astra SP cruises at speeds up to 465 and has a range of 3110 nautical miles.
